Immediate Water Restrictions

WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES STAGE 2

Due to historic high demand levels from lack of rainfall, Mustang is implementing Stage 2 Drought Contingency measures effective immediately. This stage enacts mandatory watering restrictions to reduce demand. Failure to reduce demand at this point could potentially result in outages.

We are asking all customers to take meaningful steps to reduce consumption. Currently, all systems, including both our own wells and the regional surface water provider, are operating at capacity flow demands around the clock. The result of this is that the storage tanks are not able to fill up and are gradually going down. If the current demand continues, the tanks risk running out of water resulting in outages.

Mandatory Stage 2 requirements:

Last address number is:
Even (0,2,4,6,8) may irrigate only on Sunday and Thursday
Odd (1,3,5,7,9) may irrigate only on Saturday and Wednesday.

No outside irrigation is allowed on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for any customer.

NO outside water use or irrigation is allowed between 10 am – 6 pm.

We pledge to take every step possible to keep all customers supplied with water. We ask you to please reduce any unnecessary water use and operate within the Stage requirements. Together we can keep everyone supplied this summer.
